Amara Retreat is only 20 minutes from Maroochydore Airport, 10 minutes to Peregian Beach, 1 1/2 hours from Brisbane and 20 minutes to Noosa.
This 11 day residential Yin Yoga Teacher Training course is more than just training in yin. It is a journey to self-discovery, a hands-on learning experience with a retreat-like vibe in a beautiful location. After this course, set in the beautifully luscious hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, you will feel humbled and ready to take the next steps on your yin yoga journey. The relaxing and warm environment offers the perfect setting for education, support and self development. The course includes all materials, food and accommodation.
Yin Yoga is the gentle application of tension and compression to the body which induces a healthy phase change in the tissue. The practice is characterised by long, static holds, using floor based asana for muscle relaxation and myofascial release, allowing for a meditative focus. Yin Yoga focuses on strengthening the inter-connectivity of the physical, mental, emotional and energetic dimensions of the body and its systems.

The course is split into two modules with a day in between to rest, digest, snooze and stretch. Both modules will take you through the functional and energetic approach to yoga, breaking them down individually and then layering them upon another to make your understanding of yin yoga and art of teaching brighter and bolder and better than the rest.

The Heart Centre is the main sacred shala space for learning and practice. The 100 sqm space has a stunning view all the way across the hinterland to distant Noosa. Here you can awaken with early morning meditation and yin yoga to move you into the flow of the day. Morning theory classes will intricately take apart the components of yin yoga. Lunch breaks up the day and is followed with the art of teaching interactive sessions that keeps your development growing. Evening asana and other practices close the day.
Delicious home cooked, vegetarian food will be served three times a day with the aim of nourishment and organic pleasure. Fresh healthy flavours prepared from around the world to nourish mind and body.

Amara Retreat endeavours to facilitate knowledge for a sustainable future by inspiring human beings to re-ignite their love for life and nature. Nestled in the beautiful Noosa Hinterland, the venue offers stunning 180 degree views to the North across to Noosa.
Early bird discount offered for bookings made up to 3 months in advance. 50% deposit may be made upon booking. The remaining 50% must be paid 30 days before course start date.
