Me and my friend did 8 days Mardi Himal Yoga Trek with Trekking Trail Nepal. We were little conscious about yoga and meditation in the trekking days since we want to focus on yoga and meditation more than Mardi Himal Trekking. When Apar ( Trip Planner of Trekking Trail Nepal ) assign 2 different guides for yoga and trekking, our all confusion settle before we start our trip. Yoga guide Mr. Sunil and Trekking Guide Ashis were professional and knowledgeable in every aspect. Our Porter Krishan and Susil are too innocent and hard working. Our whole team loves these people. We have yoga session in the morning and meditation session in the evening every day as we want. In addition to this, we have more stretch and short yoga pose on the viewpoint, Lunch camps, and trekking trail too. Mardi Himal Yoga Trek is a truly unparalleled spiritual adventure as they said.   • Day 01: Arrive in Pokhara, Overnight at Pokhara on our Luxury Resort

As our Mardi Himal Yoga Trek starts from Pokhara, your first day of the trip will be in Pokhara. Once you arrive and check into the hotel in Pokhara, we will have trip briefing meeting. All your questions regarding the trip will be answered and necessary help for the trip preparation will be provided. You will have some free time to wander around.

  • Day 02: Drive to Kande and trek to Pothana

We will have an early morning, revitalizing yoga session before breakfast. It’s the first day of our trek, so we are checking out the hotel after breakfast to drive for about forty minutes to Kande. And the trekking adventure begins now and we start walking towards our overnight place for today, Pothana. 

First day Itinerary of walk the Mardi Himal Yoga Trek adventure is going to be easy, beautiful and short walk for us today through peaceful forested trail. We trek to the destination via Australian camp and can enjoy a beautiful view of snow-capped mountain peaks in addition to the beautiful nature walk.

  • Day 03: Trek to Rest Camp

The second day of walk on the Mardi Himal Yoga Trek adventure. We start the day with early morning, refreshing yoga session in nature. Later, after breakfast, we prepare to leave for the next destination. We are trekking to Rest Camp today via Pitam

Deurali and Forest Camp. It’s another day of serene nature walk through the beautiful forest on most of the stretch. A nice and cool forest walk brings us closer to the wonders of nature. The trail traverses beautiful rhododendron forest and other trees and the walk is absolutely spiritually uplifting. We reach Rest Camp to stay overnight and practice yoga and meditation.

  • Day 04: Trek to Badale Danda

If the weather is clear, our early morning wakes up will be nicely welcomed by spectacular view of Mt. Fishtail and Mardi Himal. Sunrise from behind the Mt. Fishtail ridge is the spectacular sight to observe as we practice our yoga.

We start the trek of about 3 hours to Badal Danda via Low Camp after breakfast. Badal Danda is our overnight place and a suitable place to acclimatize before we head higher up next day. As we reach our overnight camp early in the afternoon, we will have plenty of time to observe the spectacular views of the surroundings and mountains. We will have a revitalizing yoga and meditation session amidst the natural and beautiful surroundings.

  • Day 05: Trek to High Camp

We wake up for a refreshing morning and join yoga practice with breathtaking views of mountains and surroundings if weather permits.

After yoga and relishing mountain breakfast treat, we prepare to leave Badal Danda for High Camp, which is only about two hours of walk. We are pretty high above lush tree line so we will find trees turning into bushy forest now. Landscapes get more grassy pastures and cliffs. We reach High Camp to find ourselves enough time to wander around to get used to breathing at the altitude and also enjoying the views of mountains. High Camp is our highest overnight camp for the Mardi Himal Yoga Trek Adventure. We will have a beautiful afternoon yoga and meditation session with the background of mighty mountain views.

  • Day 06: View Point to Low Camp

It’s a pretty early morning wake up for us. We get ready for the hike to the view point and then to base camp at around 4 in the morning. We will need help of flash light as it is much earlier than the break of dawn.

A well-paced hike through narrow trail up the hill brings us closer towards the view point and slowly the dawn starts breaking to expose snow-capped mountains to us. We reach the view point for sunrise and to find breathtaking view of Himalayan peaks in the Annapurna range. A short and refreshing yoga session at the view point is well worth doing. Magnificent and magical energy from the mountains will enhance our yoga practice. Later, we hike further to the Mardi Himal base camp, our ultimate destination of the trip.

The hike back down to high camp is a slow paced careful walk through narrow trail and with lots of beautiful moments to cherish. The round trip from high camp to base camp and back will be of about five hours. We trek down to Low Camp to stay overnight after taking lunch at High Camp. We will enjoy a nice yoga and meditation session in the evening at Low Camp.

  • Day 07: Low Camp to Ghalel

We wake up for another nice view of Fishtail and enjoy our yoga practice. We leave Low Camp after breakfast to head down towards Sidding village. The trail to Sidding passes through beautiful forest. The section between Sidding and Ghalel is a beautiful cultural walk through villages. Ghalel village, in itself, is a wonderful cultural hub for a mountain ethnicity.

We can explore Ghalel village once we reach there and also enjoy an incredible hospitality of homestay experience.

  • Day 08: Ghalel to Pokhara, Overnight at pokhara on our hotel, End of Mardi Himal Yoga Trek

Early morning wake up to enjoy our final day yoga session as we are on the final day of the trip. After breakfast, we start on the trail enjoying the last leg of walking journey to Lumre where we take a jeep ride from. The jeep ride to Pokhara will be of about one hour. Once we help you check in at the hotel, the trip comes to an end.

As the trip is not only about practicing yoga but also walking the mountainous trekking trail, you will be practicing your yoga all in open space. While on the trek in the mountains, we will find a suitable place to practice yoga at our overnight camps. But, at some of the places, the practice can be at the teahouse itself if the place has space. But, you have to be prepared to do the yoga outdoors, in the beautiful nature.
